ABOUT US

Michelle Sedlatschek
Owner & Founder

I've had a passion for horses since a very young age. I began riding lessons when I was nine years old, and eventually progressed to owning my own horse at age 13. I was on the Rutgers University Equestrian Team in college while earning an Animal Science degree, and continued riding/jumping into early adulthood. Once I had a family, I was able to introduce them into the horse world. The most perfect pony was the key to continuing a lifetime involvement with horses - now with my daughter!

We've been involved in everything under the sun, from 4-H to hunter/jumper shows at The World Equestrian Center, to polo clinics and eventing, trail rides and bareback swimming, to trailering across many state borders and training on the ground to in the saddle. We have learned an incredible amount over the years, and in addition to holding an RN and MSN in nursing education, I am confident in our ability to provide expert care here at Winding Creek!

Marketing & Digital Design

Since the age of four, I've been immersed in the world of horses. It all started with Bambi, a retired barrel racing pony who quickly became my soulmate. After school, I'd read books to her, confide in her like my unpaid therapist, and braid rainbow ribbons into her mane—truly a quintessential little-girl-and-pony bond. My sister and I discovered that if one of us led Bambi to the back edge of the pasture while the other rattled a feed scoop in the barn, she'd gallop across the field with a lucky kid on her back for a simple handful of sweet feed. We spent countless hours doing this...and perhaps created a few bad habits along the way.

But hey, live and let live.

Several years, horses, and disciplines later, I'm still here and just as obsessed as I was when cantering across the field on that sweet, old pony who taught me the ropes.

Today, I'm lucky enough to be Marketing Coordinator for the Kentucky Three-Day Event, so safe to say I'm permanently bitten by the horse bug!
